Hi Johnny... I wondered what incentive there was to buy the book if you served up the full story here. Your revised approach makes absolute sense and removes some of the obvious drain on your time, so you can focus on writing the book. Getting to know Jon is like peeling off layers, revealing ever more remarkable stories.
The details of Jon's story are riveting. His response to trauma with a relentless determination to outwit, outplay, outlast—and outsmart, making him the ultimate Survivor—to control the world around him while his own body mirrors that same relentlessness by shutting off power over it. An impossible combination of strength and weakness, wrapped in the basic human need to feel safe. I see my own response to trauma in this story. I believe many will. Thank you for being willing to share it, Jon, and thank you Johnny for your beautiful way of encouraging it into being.
Thanks for this, Michelle. I listened to this episode one final time before posting it and found myself shocked (in a great way) by how compelling the story is once I step back from it, and how perfectly Jon's story follows an arc. I literally couldn't write him better in fiction than what happened in real life. It's insane. And powerful.

No kidding! I didn't know most of the stories that are coming up, and I know there are layers more ...
